GURAY, Leo (B. Jan. 19, 1954 in Vilnius, Lithuania) of Duluth, GA, formerly of Massachusetts, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Sept. 1, in Needham, MA, after a valiant fight with brain cancer. Leo received a Masters Degree in Mathematics from the University of Vilnius, and later immigrated with his family to the United States. Leo worked as a software engineer, for the past 10 years with Micromeritics in Norcross, Georgia. Leo's love of food and new culinary experiences was legendary, and he never missed an opportunity to explore cuisines from around the world. Leo touched the lives of many people with his generosity and trademark sense of humor. He will be forever remembered and missed by his mother, Gita Gurevich, brother Naum Gurevich and sister-in-law Rita Gurevich, fiance Lynn Whitener and her daughters, Lauren and Sarah Hackney, lifelong friend Lana Hendrix and her husband Ton Hendrix, daughter Victoria Saldana, son Arthur Guray, son-in-law Johnny Saldana, grandsons Johnny Jr. and Mason Saldana, granddaughter Ella Galanti, niece Ada Gilman, nephew Lazar Gurevich, and his extended family.
