LEROY H. KEIHN Obituary
KEIHN, LeRoy H. "Joe" Age 97 of Grove City, Ohio, formerly of Somerville, MA, passed away April 23, 2016. He retired from the US Navy, as a Warrant Officer. He joined Winter Hill Federal Savings Bank, of Somerville, MA as a teller. He worked his way up to President, CEO and Director from 1972 to retirement June 30, 1992. He traveled worldwide with The Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co. of Massachusetts. He was a great leader and developer of young people, always supported advancement at WH Savings Bank. He attended Grove City United Methodist Church for 22 plus years, and actively supporting the youth programs. He was a member of the following organizations, American Legion 34 years- life member, Fleet Reserve Association - life member, Retired Officer Association- life member, Pearl Harbor Survivors Association- life member, Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts- member, 100 Club of Massachusetts- member, Financial Managers- Past President, Somerville Kiwanis- Distinguished Past President, Somerville Chamber of Commerce- Past President, Somerville Cambridge Catholic Charities- Chairman very involved, Somerville YMCA- Director and Somerville Hospital- Trustee & Chairman of Investment Committee. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice "Boots" Keihn, parents Edward and Christina Keihn, brothers Edward, Raymond, Eugene and William. He is survived by his family Geneva "Jenny" Collins; and her children Linda Collins, Sheryl (Glenn) Osborne and Carol (Mark) Attenberger and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may visit Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral at 12:00 PM at The Grove City United Methodist Church, 2684 Columbus St., Grove City, Ohio with Pastor Dennis Mohler officiating. Additional visitation will be held Friday from 3-7 PM at The Dorherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway, SOMERVILLE, MA 02144, where funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday. Interment will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial gifts may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice, 6150 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43213 or Grove City United Methodist Church, 2650 Columbus St., Grove City, Ohio 43123 in his memory.
