Lois was such fun as a Chi Omega, roommate at Pufton Village and fellow education major at UMass. I am so saddened by the announcement of her death. Although I haven't seen her in years, she fills my heart with many memories of fond, fun college years. My best to her family. Judy Hudson, Alton Bay, NH

Lois was like a second mother to my son Brendan when she provided childcare in her home. Brendan is now 21, and through the years, Lois has always been my "go to" person for mom advice. I was thrilled when she joined the Guidance Dept. at Thurston so my son Greg and my daughter Annie could have access to her! She was always so warm, wise, loving, non-judgmental, supportive -- I could go on and on. I will miss her and am grateful to have known her. Jim, Amy, Patty, and Jenna, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I learned so much from Lois' professionalism and calm, caring manner here at Thurston. Her legacy is the many adults and children whose lives she has enriched. - Lisa Fass, Thurston Middle School, Westwood

Lois was a colleague of mine while I taught in Westwood. She always greeted me with a welcoming smile and her warmth was felt by all she encountered. She spoke of her own children often with pride and love. Her influence and legacy will be forever felt by those middle schoolers whose lives she impacted. Please accept my deepest sympathies in this time of sadness.

Lois was my son Michael's caregiver 18 years ago when he was a toddler. She was the epitome of warmth and kindness and we are so fortunate that she shared her gifts with the children of Westwood. Lois and her family are in my prayers.
