MARGARET (POWER) CARR Obituary
CARR, Margaret (Power) Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend Margaret (Power) Carr of Ardmore, County Waterford, Ireland; Stoneham and Falmouth, MA. Maggie died peacefully on Friday afternoon August 3rd, at Brooksby Village in Peabody. She is recently predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Peter William Carr. She will be deeply missed by her five children: Mary Carr of Nashua, NH; Sean Carr of Glastonbury, CT; Margaret Poulin of Marblehead, MA; Peter Carr of Marshfield, MA; and Kate Connors of Reading, MA. She enjoyed spoiling her 12 beloved grandchildren: Connor, William, and Michael Popik; Sean and Ryan Carr; Henry, Lucie, and Josie Poulin; Nicholas and Nathan Carr; and Daisy and Patrick Connors. Maggie will be dearly missed by her siblings in Ireland: Declan Power; Sister Maire Bríd de Paor; Josephine Dullea; and Anne Phelan. And those stateside: Stephen Power and Nicholas Power. She is predeceased by her brothers Henry, Michael and John Power and leaves behind many treasured nieces and nephews. In her final days, Maggie took great comfort in spending time with her adoring family and friends. Her unwavering devotion to her faith sustained her through her fourth and final battle with cancer. She will be remembered fondly as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, loyal friend and card shark. Maggie and Peter will be buried together from a Catholic mass at the Brooksby Village Chapel, 100 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody, MA on Friday, August 31 at 11 AM. A reception will immediately follow to celebrate their life. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte. 62) Danvers.
