1924 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
KENYON, Marilyn Dexter 92, of Naples, FL and Chatham, MA, passed peacefully on July 24th at the Chateau at Moorings Park after a morning spent with family. She is survived by daughter, Kimberley Kenyon O'Hara of Elverson, PA; son-in-law, Patrick O'Hara and daughter-in-law, Paula Kenyon; her grandchildren, Shawn Kenyon, Lee Kenyon and Jennifer Whitcomb; great-grandchildren, Robin Kenyon, and Marcus Whitcomb; and her brother, Randall Peck. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Walter W. Kenyon, and son, Christopher. Mrs. Kenyon was born on January 7, 1924 in Sharon, MA to Carolyn Ford Peck and Harry Dexter Peck. She was a 1941 graduate of the Wheeler School in Providence, RI and a distinguished alumna of Wheelock College in Boston. Married 56 years to Walter Wallace Kenyon, she lived in Dover and Chatham, MA before retiring to Port Royal, Naples. Mrs. Kenyon dedicated herself to volunteer service, hosting Wheelock Alumni luncheons well into her 80s as an Honorary Member of the Wheelock College Corporation. She was board member/sponsor of the Moorings Presbyterian Church Hyacinth Concert Series and a mainstay of the church choir. Mrs. Kenyon taught as a volunteer in Naples Public Schools and had been a member of the Garden Club of Naples and the Naples Community Hospital League. Memorial donations may be made to Wheelock College, Boston, MA or to Moorings Presbyterian Church, Naples, FL.
