DIXON, Marion C. (Oakhem) Age 91, of Quincy, formerly of Roxbury and Dorchester, died unexpectedly, Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton, surrounded by her loving family.Marion was born in Boston on May 10, 1925, one of fifteen children, to the late William and Christine E. (Malloy) Oakhem. She was raised and educated in Roxbury and had lived in Quincy for over thirty years, previously living in Dorchester for many years.She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family, especially to her three grandchildren and her cherished great grandson.Marion was proud of her Catholic faith and had worked at Saint Patrick's Rectory in Roxbury for many years and later was a longtime active member of Saint Joseph's Parish in Quincy. She loved being part of the 1000 Southern Artery community in Quincy where she enjoyed many friendships.Beloved wife of the late William S. Dixon.Devoted mother of Elizabeth E. McDonald and her husband Leonard J. McDonald, Jr. of South Hamilton, William S. Dixon, Jr and his wife Anne Marie Oxner-Dixon of Duxbury.Loving grandmother of Leonard J. McDonald III and his wife Debra of Andover, Brian T. McDonald of South Hamilton and William S. Dixon III of Duxbury. Great grandmother of Matthew McDonald. Marion was the last of fifteen siblings and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, QUINCY, on Thursday, June 30th at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Joseph's Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m. Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.You are invited to visit
