MARLA NADINE SERWIN Obituary
Serwin, Marla Nadine
Born on November 1, 1957, died peacefully in her home in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, on November 18th, 2012, after a long battle with melanoma. Marla had a long successful career in the securities industry, starting at Merrill Lynch in Boston, where she rose to the top of the equity trading desk staff and established herself as a leader in the financial services community. She was a member in good standing of the Boston Securities Trading Association, and the National Securities Traders Association. After over 20 years at Merrill Lynch, she was recruited into senior management for Knight Capital Group, was instrumental in the successful turnaround of the company, and was revered by all her co-workers. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Chris Beuscher, her two devoted daughters, Alexandra and Nicola Beuscher, her mother, Gaynol Serwin of Melbourne Beach, Florida, her sister Janine Serwin, of Westwood, Mass, and her two nieces, Melanie and Jessica Walsh, of Westwood, Massachusetts. Her immediate family will mourn for her privately. We request that donations to the Marla Serwin Melanoma Research fund at Massachusetts General Hospital, in lieu of flowers.
