Obituary Condolences

HALL, Mary Ann 70, of Chatham formerly of Wellesley MA, died peacefully on April 10th after a valiant battle against cancer. She found comfort in her final hours by the presence of her husband, listening to her daughter read children's books by her bedside with her daughter in her lap, and the voice of her son calling from Tokyo. She is survived by Peter E. Hall her husband of 46 years; her son Matthew Byron Hall of Tokyo Japan and his wife Midori and their daughter Reika; her daughter Allison Hall Ramos of El Sobrante CA and her husband Edwin, and their daughter Marcela Maryann Ramos. In addition, her extended family includes numerous aunts, cousins, and nephews in the Allentown Pennsylvania area. She also was the godmother of Valeska (Stupak) O'Neil of New York NY who had a very special place in her heart. She was blessed with the arrival of her two granddaughters in 2015. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in Allentown PA in 1963 was a graduate of Georgetown University in 1967. She was a former French Teacher, and also found joy in working as a Librarian Assistant for the Hunnewell Elementary School in Wellesley MA. A sweet gentle person she enjoyed gardening, home decorating, dancing, long walks on the beach, and the beauty and charm of Chatham. She touched the lives of many people with her caring demeanor. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
