DeLANO, Mildred E. "Millie"

(Olson) Of Randolph, formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2016, after a brief illness, at the age of 89. Born in Lynn, Millie grew up in So. Boston and graduated from So. Boston High School. Millie was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and photography. She had a passion for cooking and loved to feed her family and friends. Millie would always make friends wherever she went and would quietly help out people without ever looking for anything in return. However, of all her passions, spending time with her grandchildren is what brought her the most joy. Millie was the wife of the late Ralph E. DeLano. Loving mother of Edward DeLano and his wife Jeannine of Scituate, Renee Reid and her husband Donald of Loudon, NH, and Brian DeLano and his wife Alisa of No. Easton. Devoted sister of Emily McAuley of FL, Mary McElman of Quincy, Shirley Olson of Quincy, and the late William Olson, Dorothy McMelville, Beatrice Brunswick, Bobby Olson, Jimmy Olson and Helen MacKay. Dear grandmother of Jessica Wester and her husband Jeff, Jared Reid, Matthew DeLano and his wife Annie, Erica DeLano, Evan DeLano and Caitlin DeLano. Great grandmother of Sparrow, Granite, Trace and Orion Wester. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rt 28), RANDOLPH. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4:00-8:00 PM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Should friend's desire, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Macular Degeneration Fund Inc. P.O. Box 531313, Henderson, NV 89053.
