Myrtle Abbott Obituary

ABBOTT, Myrtle "Vonnie" L. (vonHagen) Age 89, of 107 Durrell Mountain Road, Gilmanton, NH and formerly of Natick, MA, died October 13, 2009. Mrs. Abbott was the widow of Dr. Richard N. Abbott who died in 2007. Mrs. Abbott was born April 1, 1920, in Boston, MA, the daughter of August W. and Louise (Brandli) vonHagen. She is survived by her son Donald C. Abbott of Norton, MA, and his children, Michael, Rachael and Olivia; her son Richard N. Abbott, Jr. and spouse Monica of Boone, North Carolina, and his children, Andrew, Tyson and Paige; her son David W. Abbott of Oakland, California; her daughter, Anne L. Abbott Boyd and spouse Gilbert of Gilmanton and their children, Jennifer, Gilbert and Richard. One son, Kenneth, predeceased Mrs. Abbott. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 2:30PM at the First Congregational Church, 2 East Central Street, Natick, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246 or to Doctors without Borders, 333 7th Avenue, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001-5004. Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant St, Laconia, NH, is in charge of the arrangements. vonnie was a favorite of mine, she was very sweet, i got the priviledge of taking care of her at st. francis, she was a remarkable woman and i learned alot from her, im sorry for your loss of vonnie, she is happy and where she wants to be now.
