CHANDLER, Patricia A. (Connolly) 89, of Milford, formerly of Norwood, died at The Whitcomb House in Milford on Nov. 18, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Robert D. Chandler, who died in 1980. Mrs. Chandler was born in Norwood, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Eugene and Nellie (Freeman) Connolly. She graduated from Norwood High School, class of 45 and Katherine Gibbs School, class of 1948 in Boston. After graduation from Katherine Gibbs, she began a long career as a secretary with the Law Offices of Cabot, Cabot & Lodge, and later for Massachusetts Attorney General Edward W. Brook. She remained at the Office of the Attorney General after Brooke was elected to the Senate. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Norwood before moving to Milford 6 years ago. She was also a member of the Norwood Catholic Women's Club, Ladies sodality at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Norwood, member of the Norwood Hospital Auxillary and a volunteer at Norwood Hospital. Mrs. Chandler was the beloved aunt of Claudia (Mastroianni) Sweeney, Mary A. Sceppa, Elizabeth J. Sceppa and fourteen other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 14 other nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews who helped and supported her during her later years. Mrs. Chandler enjoyed vacationing in Maine and Cape Cod. She was a spunky lady who loved music, children, Norwood, and chocolate ice cream. She took great pride in watching her nieces and nephews grow, begin careers, and have families. She especially enjoyed spending time with her great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary K. Mastroianni, Helen G. Sceppa, James F. Connolly Sr., M.D., and Jean Marie Connolly. The family would like to thank the administration and staff of both Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care and the administration and staff of the Whitcomb House in Milford for their compassion and wonderful care of their beloved Aunt Patricia. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning only from 8am-8:45am. Burial will follow the funeral mass at Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Canton.
