Patricia Ann Vail

Age 63, of Lexington, MA, died on Feb. 26, 2007, in Elmhurst, IL, after a long fight with melanoma. She was preceded in death by her husband H. Leroy Vail, a Professor of African History at Harvard University. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Mulenga of Lexington, her mother Christina Snider, her sister Sheila Gibbins both of Elmhurst, IL, & her brother Alex Horochena of Kenosha, WI, She was born in Birkenhead, England, and grew up in Kenosha, WI. She graduated with a Masters Degree in Mathematics from the University of WI, Madison and a Masters Degree in Systems Engineering from The University of VA, in Charlottesville. She lived in Malawi & Zambia, Africa as well as London, England, before returning to the US & settling in the Lexington & Concord area of MA. She was employed by Readers Digest, Alpha Tech, Polaroid & most recently Digimarc in the Systems Engineering & Management fields. Funeral Service Friday, March 2, in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford St., CONCORD CENTER, at 10 a.m. Interment Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord.
