PATRICK R. SORRENTO Obituary
SORRENTO, Patrick R. Of Boxford, formerly of Everett on June 8. Beloved husband of Patricia (Braese). Loving father of Laureen Sorrento of Wakefield, Leanne Tierney and son-in-law Joseph Tierney of Boxford and Carolyn Sorrento and her husband William Allen of Byfield. Beloved brother of Anthony and Andrew Sorrento as well as the late Carmella, Frank, Nicholas, Rose, Antoinette, Vincent and Joseph. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. For thirty-one years Pat worked at Harvard Crimson as the production supervisor - a "second home" that gave him late nights and long friendships with generations of Harvard students. His predictable and incessant wisecracks were a huge part of his charm. The intersection of Bow and Plympton Street in Cambridge was officially named "Patrick R. Sorrento Square" at a ceremony by the mayor in honor of his retirement. Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main Street, EVERETT, on Monday, June 13th at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church in Everett at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday only 2 to 5 p.m. Complimentary parking Sunday at Main Street entrance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana Farber, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02115. Interment will be private.
