ALLEN, Paul E. Of Waltham, formerly of Watertown, January 10, 2019. Beloved husband of Pasqua "Patty" (Soave) of Waltham and father of Melissa of Waltham. Son of the late Joseph P. Allen and Elizabeth "Rita" (Muise) Allen. Brother of Lois Hines and her husband Michael of Framingham, Robert and his wife Julie of Pennsylvania, and the late Joseph P. Allen Jr. Also survived by his faithful friend Willy, and many nieces and nephews. Paul served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the Newton Police Department in 2011 after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 167 and the American Legion Post 440 in Newton. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, One Arsenal Marketplace in Watertown, MA.Visiting hours in the Magni Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St, Rt. 16, NEWTON, Sunday, Jan. 13, from 4-8PM and again Monday morning at 9:30AM before proceeding to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St., Newton, for a 10:30AM Funeral Mass.
