PAUL G. MARKLE Obituary
MARKLE, Paul G. Of West Roxbury, age 69, died peacefully in his sleep on November 17, 2016, following a long battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Francine J. (Chasan) Markle. He was the loving father of Jason R. Markle and his wife Meredith of West Roxbury (formerly of Canton), and Joshua B. Markle of West Roxbury. Paul was the cherished grandfather of Jadelynn and Allison. He was the dear brother of Richard Hughes of North Reading, and the loving son of the late, Elsie (Keyzer) Doucette.

Born in Medford in 1947, Paul enlisted in the United Stares Air Force in 1966 and proudly served his country in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge as a sergeant, he returned home and married the love of his life. Paul and Francine were married in 1975 and moved to West Roxbury, where they lived for 41 years and raised their 2 sons. Paul worked for the United States Post Office until his retirement in 1995. Following his retirement, he volunteered for the West Roxbury Historical Society and the VA Hospital.

Paul was a devoted, hard-working family man and if you were lucky enough to know him, then you were lucky enough. Over the years, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family, golfing, playing volleyball, photography, caring for his yard, talking to random strangers, spoiling his dogs and jumping on trampolines with his beautiful granddaughters, who adored him.

Services will be held at Schlossberg Memorial Chapel, 824 Washington St., CANTON on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Or Emet Cemetery, 776 Baker St., West Roxbury. Paul's family will sit Shiva in his memory following interment, and Monday and Tuesday from 3 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Team All For Allie), 220 N. Main St., #104, Natick, MA 01760.
