PAULINE A. (MAHONEY) MURPHY Obituary
MURPHY, Pauline A. (Mahoney) Of Newton and Stuart, FL, July 8, 2016. Late wife of Joseph J. Murphy, and the daughter of the late William P. and Julia (Desmond) Mahoney. Devoted mother of Joseph J. Murphy of Newton and sister-in-law of Marie Mahoney of Marshfield and Stuart, FL and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Julia Farrell and Mae Tormey and brothers Newton Police Detective William P. Mahoney and Newton Police Captain Robert Mahoney. After retirement of 34-years with the Dept. of Public Safety/Mass State Police where she was the Admin. Assistant to the Commissioner, she became an avid golfer, a volunteer for many years at the Newton-Wellesley Gift Shop, and she was active for many winters in the Cedar Pointe Women's Club in Stuart, Florida. She was a member of the Leo J. Martin Memorial Golf Course in Weston and Martin County Golf Course in Stuart, FL. Visiting hours in the Andrew J. Magni and Son Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St., Rte. 16, NEWTON, on Monday, July 11, from 4-8PM and again on Tuesday, July 12, at 9:30AM, before proceeding to Our Lady Help of Christian Church, 573 Washington St, Newton, for a 10:30AM Funeral Mass, Burial at Newton Cemetery.
