PRISCILLA ALLEN WALTON Obituary
WALTON, Priscilla Allen Of Harwich, formerly of Needham, MA. Passed away peacefully on October 12, 2016 surrounded by her family. Born, Newton, MA, March 18, 1930 to Alfred Lester and Ethelyn Greene Allen. Also known as Sis, Priscilla graduated from Wellesley High School where she excelled in athletics and captained the field hockey team. She then received her Associates Degree from Colby Junior College in New London, NH, and went to work as an administrative assistant for the John Hancock Insurance Company in Downtown Boston. She left work to marry the love of her life and husband of 57 years, Charles Edward (Ed) Walton and to raise a family. Priscilla successfully ran for election and served as a Needham Town Meeting Member. After her children had grown she and Ed moved to Harwich, MA and Priscilla returned to work as a real estate agent in the Harwich and Chatham area. Ed preceded her in death. She is survived by her 3 children; Nancy Walton Dobbins of Sharon, MA, and husband Daniel, Edward Allen Walton of Ann Arbor, MI, and wife Sarah and Bruce Douglas Walton of Madison, CT, and his wife Kristin. She also leaves 7 grandchildren; Heather, Christopher, and Evan Voght, Meredith and Charles Walton, and Hannah and Abigail Walton. Priscilla was known for her energy and no-nonsense style. She remained active throughout her entire life, enjoying tennis at the Needham Pool and Racquet Club, and paddle tennis at the Chatham Platform Tennis Association. She also enjoyed the friendship and comradery of the Brooks Park Petanque group. However, she took the greatest pleasure in the company and accomplishments of her children and family. A private memorial will be held. At her request her ashes will be scattered near Mt. Chocorua, NH. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the .
