Obituary Condolences

FOLEY, Raymond J. Jr. Of Hyannis, Mass and Jupiter, FL, quietly passed away in a Jupiter Hospital on Sunday (12/13) surrounded by his loving wife, three children and brother, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in West Hartford Connecticut, Ray attended West Hartford public schools, graduating in 1952 from William H. Hall High School. Following high school he attended and graduated from St. Michaels College. Upon graduation from college, Ray returned to West Hartford where he successfully ran his own real estate company for over forty years. He was past president of the Greater Hartford Board of Realtors and a fixture in the greater Hartford real estate community for his entire career. Ray is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 48 years, Mary (Martin) Foley, a brother Stephen, a son Stephen and his wife Catherine Foley of Buffalo, NY, daughters Eileen and her husband Joshua Gundersheimer and Anne and her husband Robert Ames, both of Newton, Mass, along with grandchildren Stephen, Claire, Maureen, Margaret, Mary Kate, Elizabeth, Emma, and twins Matthew and Molly. Loving husband, father, grandfather and devoted friend to many. Ray will be remembered as gourmet macaroni and pancake chef, gardener, first class host and all around wonderful guy. He will be greatly missed. Funeral from the Blackington, Conroy & Hayes Funeral Home, 1479 Washington St., (Rte 16), WEST NEWTON, Friday, December 18 at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St. Newton at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
