REDMOND L. "PAT" PATRIQUIN Obituary
PATRIQUIN, Redmond L. "Pat" A long-time resident of Needham, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on August 14, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary (Mimi) Patriquin. He is survived by his two sons Kevin Patriquin of Falmouth and Keith and daughter-in- law Meg of Sherborn, his sister Rena Woodland of Maryland and his beloved grandsons Erik and Charlie Patriquin of Sherborn. Pat, as he was known to friends, received degrees from Northeastern University (B.S.) and Babson College (M.B.A.). He served in the military as a Major in U.S. Army Intelligence. He met his wife Mimi while stationed in the Philippines, and was later stationed in Germany and Virginia. He saw active duty in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and National Defense Service Medal. Following his military career he and Mimi settled in Needham. Pat had a lengthy career at as a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at MFS Investment Management Company in Boston. Pat was an active athlete. He played ice hockey at Northeastern and was an avid tennis player throughout his life. Both Pat and his late wife Mimi were familiar sights at their grandsons' hockey and lacrosse games over the years. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, NEEDHAM, on Thursday August 18th, from 4 to 7PM. He will be buried in a private ceremony at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
