RICHARD B. LOCKWOOD III

Obituary Condolences

LOCKWOOD, Richard B. III 70 years young, North Palm Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 after a brief illness. Richard was born in Wellesley, MA on October 10, 1942 to Jane and Elliot Lockwood. Richard graduated from Wellesley High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Finance from Northeastern University and completed a post graduate program at Harvard University and graduated magna cu laude. Richard spent the last 12 years as Executive Vice President of Bankers' Bank Northeast in CT. He had a long and distinguished career in banking in the Boston area. Richard was a Director and Chairman of the Veteran's Outreach Center Metrowest. He is a Veteran and received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. Richard also spent 12 years as an adjunct professor of Northeastern University. Richard is survived by his beloved wife Janet residing in FL; sister Stephanie Christensen, brother-in-law Paul Christensen, niece Kelly Foster and nephew Robb Christensen, all in MA. He also has two sister-in-laws Diane Worona and Arlene Leibowitz, as well as brother-in-law Michael Leibowitz, all in FL. Niece Debra Leibowitz and nephew Mark Leibowitz reside in NY. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County FL. A memorial service will be held at 10:15am on Sunday, March 31st at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach FL. Family and friends will then proceed to the cemetery at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach, and then invited back to the Lockwood residence in North Palm Beach. A second memorial servicewillbeheld on May 20th at 11:00am at the West Yarmouth Congregational Church, Route 28, West Yarmouth MA with a reception following the service.
