Obituary Condolences

O'BRIEN, Richard Charles Of Humarock and Jackson NH, formerly of Newton, recently of Needham, at his home on April 2, 2013. Devoted husband of Margaret (Molloy) and son of the late Edward and Mary (Armour). In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his five children and five grandchildren: Patricia O'Brien of West Roxbury; Sheila Roberts and her husband David and children Allie, Charlie and Will of Needham; Eddie O'Brien of Arlington; Molly O'Brien of Humarock; and Laureen Price and her husband Eric and children Wesley and Richard of Washington, DC. He is also survived by his brother Robert O'Brien of Connecticut. Dick graduated B.C. High in 1952 and College of the Holy Cross in 1956, he enlisted in the US Army and served two years with the Wolfhounds in Hawaii. He later worked for over 30 years as an energy executive with Boston Gas Company and Eastern Enterprises, and graduated from Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program in 1986. Dick's love of life was shared with many friends over the years and his family invites them to gather Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave (Exit 19B off Rte 128) NEEDHAM. A Mass will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, Apr 5 at St. Joseph's Church, 1380 Highland Ave. in Needham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Boston College High School, 150 Morrissey Blvd., Boston, MA 02125.
