HARRIS, Richard D. Of Bedford, formerly of Waltham and Arlington, April 28, 2016. Dick was the Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Reilly) Harris. Devoted father of Guy Harris and his wife Dora of Middletown, RI, Maryjane Walsh and her husband Stephen of Northborough, Karen Bresnahan and her husband John of South Grafton, MA, Dorothy Montville of Natick, and Frederic Harris and his wife Patrice of Woburn. Loving uncle to special niece, Maryanne Randall of Littleton. Loving Grandpa to Anthony, Rebecca and Amanda Harris, Patrick and Sheila Walsh, Kathleen Walsh Traester, Brian and Kevin Bresnahan, Maeve Bresnahan Geer, Jimmy, John, Eileen and Patrick Harris. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, special nieces, Colette Leon and Carrie Randall and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Born in 1921, Dick was the son of the late Guy and Isabelle (O'Brien) Harris of Waltham. Brother of Pauline Evangelista of Tewksbury, and the late Alonzo Harris, Estelle Paul, and Virginia Edmunds. Dick was a graduate of St. Charles High School in Waltham and Framingham State University. Longtime Northeast States Training Manager for Lederle Laboratories. Cousin of Paul Harris, founder of Rotary International and recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. Late US Army veteran World War II. Life member of the Lexington Golf Club. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Rt. 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON, Tuesday, May 3rd at 10:30 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church, 51 Medford St., Arlington at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dick's memory may be made to the Fidelity House Youth Center, 25 Medford St., Arlington, MA 02474.
