I knew Dick when I worked at McCormack & Dodge. It was a long time ago, but I remember Dick as a friend who had a great sense of humor and a big heart. He was someone you always felt good being around.

I got to know Dick when I was writing about software companies and he was at McCormack & Dodge. He was kind, funny, disarmingly honest, and a natural-born mentor. I only knew him briefly, but I can imagine the impact he had on those who were lucky enough to know him better.

Dick invited Tim Buckley and I to play hockey at Belmont Hill over 20 years ago, and we have played ever since, He has been missed sorely the past few years, both his locker room humour, and strong hockey playmanship. God Bless Him and his Family.

I looked forward to seeing Dick every summer and catching up on his past years experiences. Although I knew Dick for only 8 or 9 years, I felt like I have known him a lifetime. He was a kind and gentle soul, who always had time, for everyone. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He made quite an impression on many people here on PEI. God Rest His Soul!!

To the McGlinchey family
you have our deepest condolences on your loss.
My Dad & I met Dick up at PEI for one of the car shows up there. In the years that followed we'd run into him at many other car shows in Boston and PEI, and it was always a blast to chat with him. We'll miss him.

My heart goes out to you, Lizzy, Andy, and all of the many people Dick touched with his generosity, humor, intelligence, and honesty. I hardly remember anyone able to make me laugh as hard as he could, or offer a provocative viewpoint as good-naturedly if bluntly. Dick was an original - so keen of perception and wit, yet positive and open to all kinds of people. The too-brief times we spent together - at the rink, in the center of town, at parties - I remember marvelling at his easy, funny way with the kids and sensing how much he was loved and admired. I wish now that I'd taken him up on his invitation to don the pads again - to be on his team was fortunate indeed. Love to you all!

Dear Sara, Lizzie, and Andy,
Since my children are the same ages as Lizzie and Andy, we had a lot of casual contact through church activities through the years. Dick always seemed to have a sense of practicality and good humor in whatever was happening, and shared his business acumen freely with the Follen Church community. He'll be missed there, certainly.
My heart goes out to you all as you struggle through the changes this will bring.

To the McGlinchey Family
Our world has lost a beautiful spirit.
We always appreciated Dick's friendship and support for us and for British Car Days PEI. Even with the duress of his illness, he was always able to bring smiles to those he touched. May your memories of him be a comfort to you as they will be to us.

Dick wore sweater vests - and he reveled in doing so, despite my constant ribbing!
Dick had such a great mind, razor-sharp wit and always, always a smile. He was selfless with his time for friends and loved his family above all. I consider myself very fortunate to have been counted among his many friends. I will miss Dick's company - as so many will.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
