RICHARD "DICK" MCLAUGHLIN Obituary
McLAUGHLIN, Richard "Dick" 85, died November 9, 2016 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and formerly lived in Vernon, Connecticut. He has split his time between Vero Beach, FL and Eastham, MA since 1990. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Boston College and an Advanced Management Degree from Harvard University. Dick was a First Lieutenant in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from The Travelers Insurance Company after 35 years as an Executive Vice President. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, The Moorings Yacht and Country Club, Vero Beach and Eastward Ho!, Chatham, MA. Survivors include wife Marilyn McLaughlin of Vero Beach, daughters Kathleen M. LaCroix (Christopher) of Vero Beach and Judy Louise Lindahl (Paul) of Eastham, Massachusetts, sons Richard "Chip" McLaughlin, Jr. of Ellington, Connecticut and Thomas Raymond McLaughlin (Karen) of Wayne, Pennsylvania, grandchildren Caitlin, Bridget and Chris LaCroix Jr., Emily and Ian Lindahl and Annie and Westley McLaughlin. Memorial contributions may be made to The Richard W. '52 and Marilyn McLaughlin Scholarship Fund at Boston College Office of University Advancement, 140 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467. A Memorial Mass will be held 10 AM on Monday November 14, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, FL. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
