BRACH, Robert "Bob" Was born and raised in the Chicago area. Bob graduated from St. Olaf College in 1978 majoring in English. Following graduation, he spent a short time in Seattle before relocating to Denver. Bob's interest in science and medicine inspired his career path, initially working as an EMT and then later as a Paramedic at Denver Health Medical Center. In the mid 1990's, Bob moved to the Boston area to attend Northeastern University, where he graduated from the Physician Assistant (PA) Program in 1998. He received his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2013. Bob loved to learn and enjoyed researching and writing articles, several of which were published in PA journals. For the last 16 years, Bob worked as a PA at Brigham and Women's Hospital in the Department of Neurosurgery. Bob was a kind and thoughtful person to all who knew him. He enjoyed skiing when he lived near the mountains in Colorado, and enjoyed sailing, scuba diving trips, and photography when he lived in Boston. Underwater photography became his new passion which he pursued on vacations whenever possible. Bob died unexpectedly at his home in Brighton, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Suzanne Brach and is survived by siblings, K.D. Brach of Wheaton, Illinois; Christie (John) Rewinkel, and nephew, Alec Rewinkel of Denver, Colorado. Memorial Service to be announced at a later date.
