1937 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
McCUIN, Robert George 79, of Rockland, formerly of Hanover, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Born on March 4, 1937 in Quincy, he was the son of the late Gerald and Marion (Hurley) McCuin. He was a graduate of North Quincy High School and Boston University. Robert served in the US Army and was a volunteer Hanover Firefighter for almost 30 years. He worked in Boston TV Broadcasting in sales at WCVB-TV and WHDH-TV for 30 years. Robert spent 44 years as an announcer for Briggs Stables as well as other local horse shows in the New England area. He also served as a Eucharistic at South Shore Hospital. Robert is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Brady) McCuin and their children Robert Christopher McCuin and his wife Stephanie of Bronxville, NY and Kristin Ann McCuin and her husband Joel of Finleyville, PA. He is survived by his sister Barbara McBernie of Devon, CT and Elizabeth McCuin of Plymouth. Robert was also the grandfather to Katie, Emma, Ryan, and Sean. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53, HANOVER,, on Friday from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at Saint Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139, Hanover. Burial to follow at Hanover Center Cemetery. Donations in Robert's name may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
