Landry, Robert J.
Died peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Bernadette Murphy Landry, devoted father of Matthew Landry and his wife, Lee Fuoco, daughter Maura Landry of Somerville and daughter Siobhan Landry of New York City. He cherished his two year old granddaughter Tess Landry, who provided him with such love, light and joy as she started her life and he ended his. He also loved his dog Macallan, who stayed by his side over the last year and a half. Bob graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, and started his professional career in New York City selling mainframe computers. Returning to Massachusetts, he worked for a time in the family business. Thereafter, he became involved in a number of start-up companies developing and marketing data base software, eventually focusing on financial industry applications. His most fulfilling position was as a financial analyst at The Tower Group, where he became Chief Research Officer. Bob loved vacationing with his family on Cape Cod and enjoyed boating, fishing and gardening. Holidays and family gatherings were an important part of the cycle of his life and his humor and wit were always evident. He is also survived by his sister, Rosemary E. Killen of Falmouth, brother Alfred F. Landry of Raleigh, North Carolina and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.at the Conte Funeral Home 28 Florence St. Andover, MA 01810. A Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church in Andover on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at Spring Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to James M.
