ROBERT JOHN MURRAY Obituary
MURRAY, Robert John 81, of Mashpee, formerly of Westwood, passed away peacefully at the Royal Nursing Home in Buzzards Bay on September 9, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Virginia (Sweet) Murray for 48 years. He was the son of the late John and Emily Murray.

In addition to his loving wife Virginia, Robert "Bob" is survived by two children, Elaine Sullivan and husband Jay of Burke, VA, Thomas Murray and wife Ericka of Milford, MA and his brother, William T. Murray of Leominster, MA, his sister, Marilyn Smith of Naples, FL, and his six grandchildren: Shea, Megan, Anna Belle, Kylie, Sean, and Katelyn, along with many nieces and nephews.

Bob served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He also graduated from Northeastern University in Boston. Bob worked for the Town of Newton as a payroll analyst for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a former president of the Toastmasters Club. Bob also enjoyed walks and was an avid Boston sports fan. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151), in MASHPEE, on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 4 to 7PM. A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Church, 3 Job's Fishing Rd., Mashpee, on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:30am.
