ROBERT PRICE Obituary

PRICE, Robert Of Natick Massachusetts, formerly of Morristown, New Jersey, passed away on September 9, 2016 at his home. Born October 6, 1929, he was the beloved son of Rose Deutsch Price and Herbert Price and grew up in West New York, New Jersey. He attended Long Island University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in accounting; he served in the United States Military - Army Division from 1950 - 1956 as Second Lieutenant, with entry into Officers Candidate School in 1950 and graduate training at Army Finance School, US Army. His military service included stays throughout Europe where he spent precious time in Germany while stationed. His career included many years of auditing for JH Cohn and Company, Newark, NJ; Assistant General Manager of Twin County Grocers, Edison, NJ; and three decades of private CPA practice. Most recently, he volunteered his services to mediate small business disputes for the State of New Jersey as well as volunteered at Morristown Memorial Hospital and Framingham Union Hospital in Framingham, MA. He loved sports of all kinds - he played paddleball, and loved football, baseball, the New York Giants, New York Yankees and watching any little league game that he passed along the roadside. He was a strong swimmer and spent summer days at the Jersey Shore, riding the waves and enjoying the sun and his friends. His favorite pastime was being in the room, often working, with his family around him. He loved word puzzles, word games, and even placed second in a city-wide spelling bee when he was a youth. He was known for his immaculately tailored clothing and professional and dignified manner. His constant quiet generosity extended from his immediate family through clients, colleagues, organizations in need, and the community. He was sought out for his fair and honest approach in all aspects of his life. He married his beloved Lorraine "Raynee" Price in 1955. Together they raised their four children with a strong concentration on education. He was the cherished husband of Lorraine (Reingold) Price, the devoted father of Scott Price and his wife Patty, Heidi Price and her husband David McCarthy, Barry Price and his wife April Traum, and Alan Price and his wife Rachele. Robert leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Taylor, Katie, Jenny, Katie, Ruby, Hudson, Jackson and Vaughan; and 3 great-grandchildren: Noah, JD and Gracie. Bob was the loving brother of the late Sanford Price and uncle to Lisa and Deborah. Services have been held. Please direct gifts of kindness to

i was thinking of you recently, bob.
i started growing coleus in the office, right near where you used to grow coleus, many years ago.

i was sorry to find this obituary.
but i missed your coleus, and i think you'd like the new plants you inspired me to bring in and grow, here.

best wishes!

Many Great Years spent with Bob at O'Conner Park in West Orange, playing paddle ball. He was a gentleman and oh, such a competitor. My late condolences go to his Family. Just found out today.
