Thornton, Sr. Services will be held September 17th, at 11:00am at St. Catherine's of Siena in Norwood, MA with a celebration of his life to follow at the Old Colonial Café, also in Norwood. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Avow Hospice (1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105) in Bob's memory. Avow allowed Bob to transition with dignity, love and caring. Also to The Alzheimer's Support Network (660 Tamiami Trail N., Ste. 21, Naples, FL 34102) where we learned how to navigate the disease that took his life. As his last act, Bob graciously donated his brain tissue to ALZ research in hopes that one day there will be a "cure" for this awful disease. It is definitely the "Long Goodbye" Bob will be missed for his humor, quick smile, and unconditional love. We all loved him to the moon and back.
