Obituary Condolences

TRUEBLOOD, Roger Clark 87, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brockton following a brief illness. He leaves his daughter Elizabeth Susan Maffa and son in law Robert Maffa. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of the late George Trueblood and Flossie Pearl (Scheidenberger) Edwards. After graduating from St. Louis High School he attended and graduated from Pasadena Community College and subsequently attended and graduated from Cal Berkeley, ('49) with a bachelor's degree in engineering. He met his late wife Bette June (Cales) Trueblood while on a business in West Virginia and they were married in 1954. He and his wife traveled across the country as he worked for several engineering and construction firms before settling in Scituate, MA and his taking a position with Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation as a specialist in fossil fuels and particulate precipitators; he retired in 1993. He was an active member of the Scituate Methodist Church and then the Stoughton Methodist Church after moving to Stoughton in 1983. Subsequent to his late wife's passing he moved to North Easton with his daughter and son in law. Mr. Trueblood was a life-long and active member of the Masons, having been a Master of several lodges and was recently honored by the Satuit Lodge of Scituate for his 50 years of service and membership.
