Obituary Condolences

BAGLIO, Ronald M. Age 42, of Hardwick passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 4, 2012. He was born July 13, 1970 and raised in Staten Island, NY. Ron received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Villanova University in 1992, a master's degree in counseling psychology in 1994, and was in the midst of completing his dissertation in pursuit of a doctoral degree in Educational Policy and Leadership from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Ron's education expanded far beyond the classroom as well. He was an avid reader, a gifted writer, an accomplished speaker, and an able artist. Ron was also a sports enthusiast, and his love of the New York Yankees was well-known. Nothing was more important to Ron than his family. He met his beloved wife Erin when they were both undergraduates at Villanova, and their love for each other strengthened each and every day during their 15 years of marriage. Ron was the hero of his children's fairytales, and nothing gave him more him satisfaction than playing with, reading to, and laughing withhis children, Keeley, Rowan, Mairead and Nolan Baglio. Ron is survived by his parents, Ron and Ann Baglio of Long Island, NY; his sister Lisa Baglio; nephew Joey; and niece Anna Conza. Ron will be greatly missed by Erin's family, Martin, Betty, Sean, Donna, Brendan, Colleen, Kerry and Gintas. Ron's had a vast network of friends and colleagues, too. As the Assistant Headmaster for Student Life at Eagle Hill School in Hardwick, MA, Ron was respected and admired by his colleagues of eighteen years, and he helped a generation of students find meaning and success in their lives. He will be sorely missed by EHS students, faculty, and families from around the world. Ron's life-long Villanova friends were also near and dear to his heart, and he always looked forward to their frequent reunions. Ron will be remembered by all who knew him for his humor, patience, intelligence and wit. Calling hours for Ron will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Cebula Funeral Home, South St., WARE, MA. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church, 60 South St., Ware, MA 01082. A luncheon will follow at Eagle Hill School in Hardwick, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Baglio Children Education Fund, C/O Country Bank, 75 Main St., Ware, MA 01082.
