Rose was the best, a bright jewel in the Globe's internal clockworks. Not much got by her and just seeing her could brighten a gloomy day. My condolences to all who loved her.

Dear Karen, Mike & Family, I am very saddened to hear of your mothers passing. Now the road has risen to meet her, the wind will always be at her back and the sun will shine warm upon her face. God now holds her in the palm of his hand.

My desk in the Globe sports department was next to the message center, and I had a front row seat observing Rose and her sister, Barbara, weave their magic on a daily basis. Globe readers and all my colleagues benefited from their devotion and dedication. Clearly, Rose loved the Globe, and all who knew her are saddened by her passing. My wife, Bunny, and I send our condolences.
