1929 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
TUCK, Ruth Hanson Of Needham, formerly of Wellesley, passed peacefully after a brief illness on July 7 at 87 years old. Ruth was born on May 12, 1929 in Newton and is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Ruth Hanson and sister Betty Nesbitt. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Leon Gray "Bill" Tuck and her children Nancy Echlov and her husband Rich of Natick, Sally Tuck and her husband John Morin of Plymouth, and Joy Wilson and her partner Bill Bohannon of Suwanee, GA. In addition, she will be missed by her grandchildren Russell Echlov and his wife Jennifer, Samantha Ensslin and her husband Sam, Carter Wilson, and Joanna Hurwitz, as well as her 4 great grandchildren Nicolas, Juliana, Sofia, and Abby. Ruth was a lifelong member of Brae Burn Country Club and an avid bridge player and Red Sox fan. She was a patriotic soul who loved her country and treasured her many friends. Her joy in life was her family, whom she loved deeply. Although she will be sadly missed, her family celebrates her long and happy life and the manner in which she touched so many others' lives with her grace and kindness. A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellesley. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Ruth's memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at P.O.
