I think about you so very often, Shirl. You had an immense heart and vibrant soul; I learned so much from you. I pray that you are abundantly blessed in your new life, and that the angels are loving your zany humor. You are still missed, dear lady. This world needed you. Marie (Mimi) Ottoboni

It has been more than three years now, and I still stop and fondly remember Shirley on frequent occasions. Her personality was, indeed, bigger than life, and her dynamic persona left a wonderful energy that lingered long after she'd left the party (everywhere Shirley went became a party). I admired her big heart and authentic soul, and her zany humor always brought life to dreary and mundane situations. I'd have missed many thrilling opportunities had Shirley not worked hard behind professional scenes to keep work fun, adventurous and exciting. She was encouraging and uplifting to work with. I also admired her selflessness on many occasions, and was in awe of the compassionate love-touches she left on our world. We lived on opposite coasts, only crossed paths a handful of times during any given year, and yet she left her handprint on my heart. What a great feeling it is to have had the pleasure of our association. Miss you,Shirley, you were one in a million. Marie Ottoboni Wall 2016

I loved Shirley, even though it has been many years since our last visit. We grew up together and had our first babys around the same time. She was so much fun but most of all wanted the best for her only son at the time, Eric. She encouraged me to finish college and be independant as she was. She had a good heart. I will miss her in my thoughts forever. She touched my life. Shirley, your family can be proud of the true person you were. All my love.

Shirley's energy and commitment to doing the right thing were boundless. She was extremely generous with her time and talents. She never stopped trying. She taught me a lot and I will miss her. Rest in Peace, Dear Friend.

To Shirley's children, grandchildren & extended family my family & I extend our deepest & most heartfelt sympathies for the loss of her physical presence here on this earth. May your broken hearts be comforted by all of the special, beautiful memories each one of you holds dear.

I, too mourn alongside of you since Shirley has been my dear, sweet, lovely friend for 10+ years. I will treasure each experience & memory I was privileged & blessed to have shared with her for the rest of my life. Her friendship has also allowed me to enjoy many of you; and for that I am blessed, as well. Right now, as I write through my tears I am remembering so many of the personal conversations, laughs, & fun times we've had over the years.

What a great & inspiring example of love, compassion & caring she has set before us. Heaven has most certainly inherited one incredible angel... ...and I am proud to remain with so many others as one of her many friends.

I can remember driving up to your home many days of the summer to always find you in your garden. You had such passion and a knack for bringing plants to life. Similarly to the people around you.

It wasn't that long ago when you took Nicole and I to the beach with the top down in your car. We all shared a laugh because Nicole and I though we were 22 decided we would act 5, and wear the burger king crowns the whole ride to the beach. You were like a mom to me and I'm glad to have had you be a part of my life. Thank you.

I hope in heaven they know just how lucky they are to have you there.

Shirley was bigger than life. She was a very generous spirit with a big heart. I considered her a good friend even though we were in a competitive industry together. To know her was to love her. She was fearless with her vulnerability and honest about her frailties. She was a humanitarian and people gravitated to her. She was genuine. I will miss her greatly. Peter Kalmus
