STEPHEN J. CAREY Obituary
CAREY, Stephen J. 55, died May 1, 2014. Born on January 11, 1959, in Boston, MA, he was the son of Lorraine E. (Reiser) OBrien. Mr. Carey was employed at the VA Medical Center, in Manchester. He served in the United States Navy. He loved to travel and enjoyed helping others. Mr. Carey was a long time friend of Bill W. He was a Sunday school teacher and was active with his church. Most of all, Mr. Carey loved spending time with his family. Members of his family include; his mother, Lorraine E. (Reiser) OBrien, of Canterbury, NH; a brother, Thomas Carey, of Weymouth, MA; three sisters, Nancy A. Levesque, of Belmont, NH; Barbara J. Carey, of Franklin, NH; Julie A. OBrien, of Canterbury, many nieces and nephews. In addition, he leaves a long time family friend, Pam Duncan. Mr. Carey was predeceased by his fiancé, Mary Manning. He was also predeceased by his father, Paul X. OBrien, by his loving grandmother, Gladys Reiser, his uncles, Francis and Richard Reiser, and by his nephew, Gavin Riley Taylor. Services: Calling hours on May 6, from 4 7 PM at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, in CONCORD, NH. A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, 10:00 AM at Christ the King Parish at St. John The Evangelist Church, 72 South Main Street, in Concord, NH. Interment following at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a food pantry or homeless shelter of ones choice.
