SUSAN L. FREDRICKSON Obituary
FREDRICKSON, Susan L. Of Boxborough, MA, passed away on July 20, 2016 at the age of 79 with her children at her side, after a three year courageous battle with cancer. Susan, wife of her late husband Henry J. Fredrickson, is survived by her children: Kendra Bronson and her husband Bret of Leesburg, Virginia, Heather Fredrickson of Boxborough, MA, Holly Fredrickson of Ayer, MA and Scott Fredrickson and his wife Susan of Weston, CT; her grandchildren Morgan Bronson of Leesburg, VA, Shane Bronson of Leesburg, VA, Catherine Fredrickson of Weston, CT, Elizabeth Fredrickson of New York, NY and Kirsten Goetz and her husband Ken of Colorado Springs, CO. Susan was born in Newton, MA on January 19, 1937. She graduated from Acton High School in 1955 and is a member of the AB Athletic Hall of Fame. She went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut, Storrs and later completed her Master's degree in Special Education at Leslie College. She worked in the Lincoln, MA public school system as a Special Education coordinator until her retirement in 1991 to St. John, U.S.V.I., where she and her husband ran a villa management company. Susan was a talented artist and a founder of the Artists Association of St. John and a volunteer for the St. John Animal Shelter. Upon moving back to MA, she was a board member for the Council on Aging and a board member of the Boxborough Conservation Trust. She and her husband were active volunteers at the Acton Food Pantry. A memorial gathering celebrating Susan's life will take place at a later date.
