Obituary Condolences

GRANT, Teresa Of Newton, 98, passed away peacefully in the home she loved on Sunday, March 27, 2016. Survived by her daughter, Kathleen Teresa Grant, and many cherished caregivers, family and friends who appreciated her warm, generous spirit and sharp Irish wit. Born Teresa Gill in Athenry, Co. Galway, Ireland, Teresa lived for many years in London, England before emigrating to the United States in the early 1950's. Here, she met the love of her life, Ray Grant, when both worked together at Brae Burn Country Club in West Newton. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thurs., March 31 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St., Newton. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home, 465 Centre St., NEWTON CORNER on Wed 4-7 PM. Donation's in Teresa's name may be made to the Deutches Altenheim Foundation, 2222 Centre St., West Roxbury, MA 02132. Rest in peace, mom, your work on this earth is finally done and you are back home safe in God's loving arms.
