THELMA VIRGINIA PASQUALI

1928 - 2014

PASQUALI, Thelma Virginia (Hardy) Was born in Beverly, MA. on June 24, 1928. She passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Frank Pasquali her husband of 31 years. Thelma is survived by her sister Doris Crosby, brother Dick McKenney, three sons and their wives, John and Peggy, Philip and Pamela, Peter and Pattie, Grandchildren Ben, Liz Feasel, Colin, Dylan, Emma, Jared and Will, Great granddaughters Lilly and Addy, and Great grandson Timmy Feasel. Thelma graduated from Beverly High School in 1946, Bates College in 1950 and Smith College in 1952 where she earned a Masters Degree in Zoology. Her professional career included being a teacher for the Massachusetts Audubon Society 1952-1955, a Teachers Aid for Holliston Public Schools 1967-1969 and a First Grade Elementary Teacher in Attleboro from February 1969-June 1984. Thelma was married to Rev. Ray M. Marshall in 1952 until his death in 1976. In August of 1982, Thelma married Frank Pasquali. The two enjoyed extensive travel together throughout the US (Alaska, Hawaii), and internationally including Canada, Iceland, Scotland, Norway, Scandinavia, Turkey, Spain, Morocco, Galapagos, and Panama. Thelma was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Attleboro serving on various committees, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. She enjoyed friends, family, birding, hiking, swimming, canoeing, reading, traveling, writing (writing poems published in several poetry journals and placed four times in the Attleboro New Moon contest), painting, and spending time at her cottage with her family and friends on Balch Lake in West Newfield, Maine. In 2005, Thelma and Frank moved from Attleboro to the Village at Willow Crossings in Mansfield, MA. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church, 118 South Main Street, Attleboro, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Attleboro, Rev. Ray Marshall Scholarship Fund, or the James D. Blum 80 Fund for Foreign Study at Bates College.
