OATES, Virginia M. (Dunn) Of Watertown Tuesday April 2, 2013. Beloved wife of Walter J. Jr. for 64 years. Loving mother of Walter J. Oates, III & his wife Carolyn of Waltham, William G. Oates & his wife Marion of Brighton and Mary T. "Terry" Poillucci & her husband Robert of Waltham. Cherished grandmother of Caitlin Oates of Watertown, Timothy Oates of Brighton, Robert & Christina V. Poillucci. Of Waltham. Dear sister of James C. Dunn & his wife Mary of Watertown and the late Eleanor M. Hackett, Dorothy C. Dunn, Lorraine F. Kubilis, Thomas F., Robert J., and John C. Dunn. Virginia was also the proud aunt of many nieces & nephews. Virginia was born in Boston, a daughter of the late Thomas F. Sr. and Mary F. (Dargan) Dunn. She grew up in Brighton graduating from Girls High School in Boston in 1942. A graduate of St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing, she worked as a register nurse at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge for 37 years. Virginia also served her country as a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corp. Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., WATERTOWN on Saturday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 O'clock in St. Luke's Church 132 Lexington St., Belmont. Relatives and friend kindly invited. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8 PM. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.
