Obituary Condolences

BUTLER, William "Bill" Austin Passed away on January 1, 2013. Bill was born February 25, 1945 to John and Anne Butler. He grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island and graduated from Cranston High School. He proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He married Cynthia Davy Butler and settled in Westwood, Massachusetts. He was a loving father to Caragh (Brian) Lavoie and Cristen (Matthew) Jenkins. Bill spent many years selling printing machinery and newspaper presses. He probably got some clues to the New York Times crossword puzzles that he completed almost daily. He loved being with his grandsons Andrew Jenkins and Edward Lavoie, and was so excited about the recent birth of his granddaughter Riley Jenkins. In addition to his daughters and grandchildren, Bill is survived by his sister Catherine and brother Jack. Bill was known for his great sense of humor and caring heart. - A true Irishman - he always had a smile on his face and a "tip top" greeting. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday January 6th at Bell-O'Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington Street, BROOKLINE, MA 02445 (617) 277-7652. A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 on Monday, January 7th in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 5 Linden Pl, Brookline, MA 02445.
