SWANTON, William Bernard Age 95, of Marshfield, formerly of West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain, October 21, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Nadine (Haller) Swanton. Loving father of Eileen Raymond and her husband Robert of Nashua, NH; Carol Swanton of Woodinville, WA; Ginni Swanton of Duvall, WA; and James Swanton of Oroville, WA. Cherished grandfather of Stacie Mullin and her husband Kevin of Waltham and great grandfather of Connor, Keegan and Declan. Brother of Eleanor Peyton of Walpole and the late Robert Swanton of Avon. Bill was a graduate of Wentworth Institute, US Army Air Corps Veteran WW II and a Project Supervisor for New England Telephone. He spent summers in Marshfield with his family and enjoyed playing piano, guitar, golf, bowling, reading and bird watching. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, 4750 Washington St., West Roxbury, on Wednesday, October 26, at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment, with Military Honors, in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:45 pm.
