WILLIAM F. MARSH Sr. Obituary
MARSH, William F., Sr. Age 81, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 24, 2016 surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late William and Marie (Henner) Marsh. William was born in Boston on June 3, 1935 where he was a graduate of Boston Tech High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp Reserves and attended Northeastern University in Boston. He and his wife Joan were married at Sacred Heart Church in Roslindale April 22, 1961. He has been a resident of Bourne for the past eleven years and was a former longtime resident of Foxborough. William was a former Property Manager for the North Dartmouth and Swansea Malls. In later years he was a customer service technician for Ritchie Navigation in Pembroke. He was a former key man from 1968-69 and president from 1969-70 of the Foxborough Jaycees and president of the Foxborough Lions Club from 1988-89. He was also a former coach for the Foxborough Youth Hockey program. A boating enthusiast, William loved navigating the waters of Buzzards Bay. He was also an usher and communicant of St. Mary's Church in Onset. William was most happy when spending time with his loving family. Beloved husband of Joan F. (Curran) Marsh. Loving father of Kathleen F. and Paul Ross of Foxborough, William F. and Heidi Marsh of Plymouth and Linda M. and Shawn Hunter of Foxborough. Devoted grandfather of Lindsey, Tayla and Daniel Ross and Kevin, Chad and Madison Marsh. Brother of Richard W. Marsh and his partner Jim of Weymouth and the late Frances Hickey and Helene Marsh. Relatives and friends are kindly welcomed to attend calling hours on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 4-8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., FOXBOROUGH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 58 Carpenter St., Foxborough.
