MAUDE B. MACLEAN Obituary
MacLEAN, Maude B. 96, of Easton, formerly of Quincy and Boston, passed away February 20, 2013. She was the devoted wife of more than 65 years to Neil P. MacLean, who died in 2004. Born and raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Daniel J. & Annie B. (MacLeod) Carmichael. It is there that she met and married her beloved Neil before emigrating to the United States together in 1940, living first in Roxbury, then Dorchester before finally settling in Quincy in 1976. She was a long-time active member of Fort Square Presbyterian Church in Quincy, where she was a member of the Friendship Circle. She was a former member of the Gaelic Choir at Needham Presbyterian Church and a member of the former Cape Breton Island Gaelic Club of Boston. Loving mother of Anna M. Goodwin and her husband Bill of Norton, and Phyllis Dickson and her husband Peter of Stoughton. Cherished grandmother of Richard Goodwin and his wife Diane, Darin Goodwin and his wife Michelle, Gary Goodwin and his wife Debra, Gregory Goodwin and his wife Diana, Glenn Dickson and his wife Jean, Leigh Henry and her husband Brian, & Kimberly Clifford and her husband Russell. Dear sister of Murdock Carmichael of Nova Scotia. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Visiting Hours are Friday Feb 22nd at the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St., QUINCY CENTER, from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM, to be followed by a procession to Fort Square Presbyterian Church, 16 Pleasant St, Quincy, where services will begin at 12 Noon on Friday. Interment to follow at The Gardens at Gethsemane, 670 Baker St., West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maude's memory may be made to: Fort Square Presbyterian Church, 16 Pleasant St., Quincy, MA 02169. Arrangements under the care and direction of Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Quincy Center
