Obituary Condolences

COOK, M(ary) Elizabeth Of Wakefield, Massachusetts, who all knew as "Libby", daughter of Augustus Frederick and Mary Myrtle Bolz, died in her sleep in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the Bear Hill Rehabilitation Center in Stoneham, Massachusetts. She was 95. She is survived by her son, Robert Cook, Jr. of Wakefield; a daughter, Elizabeth Benander, of Pennsylvania; grandchildren Mark Benander and Julia Huff of Texas; and great-granddaughter Sarah Huff, also of Texas. As a young child, Libby resided for several years in New Brunswick, Canada. Libby graduated from Cambridge High and Latin in 1935. She was an active member of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in Cambridge, where she fondly remembered participating in youth group activities led by Deaconess Pennock under the leadership of Reverend Frederick C. Lawrence. After her move to Wakefield in 1950 with her beloved husband, Robert John Cook, Sr., who was laid to rest in 1981, she became an active member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Wakefield, eventually serving on its vestry. Libby will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held for her this Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 2:00 pm at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 5 Bryant Street, Wakefield, Massachusetts 01880, the Reverend Matthew Caldwell presiding.
