Obituary Condolences Flowers

Frias, Dennis C. 63, of Hudson, Feb. 9th. Loving son of Maria (Chaves) Frias of Hudson and the late Antonio J. Frias; devoted brother of Antonio Frias and his wife Manuela, Jose Frias and his wife Joanne, Manuel Frias and his wife Aldora, David Frias and Armindo Frias and his wife Joanne, Maria da Silva and her husband Aluisio and Rosa F. Garcia and her husband Luis, all of Hudson and Theresa Frias of Marlboro; brother of the late Lena Reuben, John Frias, Isabel Leandres, Steven Frias and Gilbert Frias. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal; raised in Hudson after emigrating from Portugal at the age of 5; 1969 graduate of Hudson High School; later received his Bachelor's Degree in 1973 from Worcester State College; eventually earned his Master's Degree and was currently working on his Doctorate's Degree; member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson; retired guidance counselor in the Hudson Public School System. Dennis was an accomplished dancer and dance instructor. In the 70's and early 80"s he taught dancing at the Joy of Movement Dance Studio in Cambridge and also gave private and public lessons locally. His passion was dancing but also enjoyed traveling, spending 28 summers in Madrid, Spain. He loved spending time with family and friends and will be truly missed. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 12th at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, Feb. 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com).
