HERSHMAN, Irving I. On Monday, February 10, 2014, of Sharon at 88 years of age. Beloved husband for 44 years of the late Bernice J. (Wesler). Dear son of the late Max and Rose (Weiss) Hershman. Loving father of Myrna (Hershman) & Cantor Steven Dress of Sharon, Paula (Hershman) & Bryan Shlager of Sharon and Boynton Beach, FL and Steven & Dale (Silverstein) Hershman of Easton. Cherished grandfather of Melissa (Dress) & Joel Karas, Jonathan & Ilana (Shechter) Dress, Lauren Shlager, Jared Shlager, Adam Hershman, and Matthew Hershman. Dear brother of the late Dr. Harry Hershman and Bess Swartz. Devoted companion of Eileen Parker of Easton. Services at Schlossberg Solomon Memorial Chapel, 824 Washington St., CANTON, on Wednesday, February 12 at 1:00PM. Interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon. Following the interment all immediate family members will begin memorial observance (shiva) at Temple Israel, 125 Pond Street, Sharon until 9pm. For some immediate family shiva will continue at his late residence Thursday, 1pm-9pm; Friday 11am-2pm; Saturday evening 7:30pm-9:30pm; Sunday and Monday 1pm-9pm. He gallantly served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
