REVEREND  ALBERT R. LEARY Obituary
LEARY, Reverend Albert R. Of Bismarck, ND, died February 9, 2014 in Bismarck. Born December 1, 1926 in Watertown, MA, son of the late James E. and Margaret A. Leary. He is survived by sisters, Marie B. McCarthy of Canton and Jean E. OConnell and her husband, Attorney Philip A. OConnell of Stoneham, sister-in-law, Lise Leary of Delaware, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law, James E. and Natalie Leary, Paul and Therese Leary, Joseph and Frances Leary, Leo and Ursula Leary, Robert Leary, Sister Margaret and Dr. Elmore Campbell, brothers-in-law, John D. McGrail and John McCarthy. Father is also survived by his adopted North Dakota family, Albert Kuntz, a loyal and devoted friend and professional assistant for over forty years, his wife Linda, and children Tiffany, Kaylee and Ryan. While a student of St. Johns Seminary, Brighton at the request of Cardinal Richard Cushing, he volunteered for service in the Diocese of Bismarck, ND. He was ordained a priest on May 1, 1954. During his priestly tenure, he served as pastor and built several churches throughout the state of North Dakota and he also served as administrator of Trinity High School in Dickinson, ND. Wakes, memorial services and Funeral Masses have been held and celebrated in Bismarck and Strasburg, ND. A Memorial Mass is planned in the near future for relatives and friends living in the Boston Metropolitan Area.
