Obituary Condolences

LEIN, Constance D. Connie (Formerly of Danvers, MA) passed away peacefully at the Concord Hospital on Saturday March 15, 2014. She was 91 years old, and the beloved wife of the late Robert O. Lein, with whom she shared over 38 years of marriage. Mrs. Lein graduated from Manchesters West High School in 1939, where she was the popular class secretary, active in drama club, cheerleading, and chorus, and was on the honor roll for 4 years. She graduated in 1940 with a certificate in stenography and bookkeeping. She worked for many years as an administrative assistant at J B Thomas Hospital in Peabody, MA. She enjoyed many things including camping, reading, traveling, knitting, and Kindle games like Words with Friends. She loved vacations at the beach, and visiting and lunching with friends and family. Mrs. Lein is the mother of Jay Ann (Lein) Lavoie, wife of A. James Lavoie, and Robert G. Lein, husband of Lynn A. (Dawson) Lein; the loving grandmother to Amy Lein Gilbert, and Alaine Lavoie Amaral; great-grandmother of three, Isaac Gilbert, and Ella and Ana Amaral. Subsequent to her marriage to Robert, she wed Roberts brother Erwin B. Lein, with whom she shared 8 wonderful years. She also gained 3 more loving children and many grand and great grandchildren through this marriage. Mrs. Lein was preceded in death by a grandson, James J. Lavoie; and two siblings. Services: Calling hours will be held on Tues., March 18, 2014, from 4-7 PM at the Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut St., MANCHESTER, NH. A Funeral service will follow on Wednesday at 10 AM, also at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will be private at the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Danvers, MA.
