STEPHEN THEODORE RUSSIAN Obituary
Russian, Stephen Theodore 85, of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Gloucester, Mass. (formerly of Lexington, Mass.), passed away on March 7, 2014 in Bonita Springs, Fla. Stephen was born on June 26, 1928 to Theodore and Lucy (Mesropian) Russian. After graduating from Watertown High School in 1946 he joined the Army. After the war he entered Boston University on the GI Bill, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in history in 1951. He then attended B.U. Law School, graduating in 1953. He established a law practice in Lexington, Mass., where he worked until retiring in 2000. In 1953 he married Zabelle Dohanian with whom he had three children. They later divorced. He married Amalia (Amy) Samoylenko in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Amy; son, Dana (Christine) Russian of Winchester, Mass., daughter, Amy Russian (Andrew Coulter), of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; brother, Clyde (Sandy) Russian of Lexington, Mass.; stepdaughter, Marina Belyea, of Lexington, Mass.; daughter-in-law, Elisabeth Ames of New York, NY; step-daughter-in-law, Lisa Samoylenko, of Bedford, Mass; six grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his son, Jeffrey Stephen Russian, and his step-son, Sergei (Jay) Samoylenko. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm. at First Parish Church, 7 Harrington Road, Lexington, Mass.
